I personally believe that only courteans who have worked at least six months of the year should be eligible as this is LPIN and independants shouldn't be able to qualify. This is only my humble opinion.

Several people did. That's why the southern brothels won. The northern brothels could have done the same thing---But they didn't! This whining about the south winning is as redicoulous as the Dmeocrats blaming Ralph Nader for Al Gore losing the election. They don't stop to think that if people really wanted Al gore. They would have voted for him. The same holds true for this vote. The southern customers cared enough to get out the vote. The north did not.
Once and for all. It's over! Get over it!

RE: Take the responsiblility seriously?
..My own personel thoughts are that their isn't a problem at all with the way the election was held, either this year or in the past..I also disagree with the importance of these awards..I think they are fun to watch and follow, but don't really play a signifcant part in increasing the Brothels traffic of the winners or bring much business to the COY..
..The problem is with the Tricks taking them too seriously..The COY or Brothel winners aren't automatically looked upon as the best in their field because they won the award...OR at least they shouldn't be..It's a fun thing that we have been doing for a few years..Nothing about it is official..I say let's keep having these awards..Who ever wants to set up a best "whatever" can set one up and make up whatever rules they want...The rest of us can either participate or ignore it..But for Gods sake let's not put any more importance on them than they deserve..

In 2001, when the final tabulations were announced, the banquet was held, and the winners announced, was there an uproar similar to this display of negative rhetoric I am reading?
There are enough sour grapes bouncing around here, that if they were all placed in a keg, enough vinegar could be made to supply every restaurant in Nevada!
The southern houses and Summer win ... and all of a sudden there is something wrong with the process?
There is something out of whack here and this controversy not only demeans this website in in general, but the posters in particular.
My suggestion: If anyone should ESTABLISH RULES for AND DIRECT the vote, it is a board comprised of a representative from each brothel which desires to participate in the process; the webmaster, and a non-brothel representative (poster) who focus their posts in a particular area: Southern, Northern, I-80 East and I-80 West, as well as one at-large representative.
CARSON CITY-RENO would have six brothel representatives, if each decides to participate in the CWM process (which needs a better name to promote it in a more public fashion). SOUTHERN LPIN would have six brothel representatives. The I-80 corridor stretches from Wells in the East to Winnemucca in the West. That corridor could be divided into two segments, or be considered one. Brothels not directly in interstate communities (like Elko, Carlin, Battle Mountain and Winnemucca) would be considered part of the I-80 voting area. Posters would have to declare which area they best represent to be included on the board. The at-large representative should have some state-wide knowledge and be chosen by a majority vote of the board of the whole.
In the meanwhile, silence your displeasure over the 2002 announcements and congratulate the winners. I wonder how some of the detractors would have responded if THEIR favorites won???!!!

So does that mean that any lady that does an off the books party shouldnt' qualify? Or just those that do so publically..
And is that a consecutive six months, or say 26 weeks out of a given year? Personally I know some high bookers that cut the number of days a month they work in half but still book just as many parties as their regulars still want to see them. Should they then be disqualified because they decided not to spread their parties out over a greater number of days?

Well, this year's finalists were determined by getting at least two nominations. No online reputation was taken into account.

This years vote was probably the most honest of the last three. I can't speak for the first three. Seems the biggest complaint is the campaigning that took place. I would venture to say the campaigning has taken place each year, just not as intense as this year. Was it fair? Why not? If she got her friends to vote, it just shows she is popular and according to some, that's what it is all about. From what I have seen, she seems to be a deserving COY. As far as BOY, I don't belive this years will be as promoted as in the past. Hof advertised it from coast to coast. TB

Just refining the process. There needs to be a set of standards to where the North vs South debate wouldn't be an issue. It ain't about that right now from what I've read. I'm tired of the discussion. Come to the picnic. No awards, no politicing, no cliques, just good clean fun. Y'all fight it out.

CWMC Awards for COY and BOY
No there was no uproar when the winners were announced for CWMC5. Unlike the voting for CWMC 6's COY, last year, the votes were so close, there was a three way tie for Courtesan Of the Year; Nikita @ Kitty's, (who was the COY for the previous year), Adele @ Sagebrush Ranch and Shannon @ Sagebrush Ranch. All three ladies were well known to the CWMC 'community', they had either many field reports/reviews or many favorable posts on LPIN discussion boards about them all year.
The post fire damaged, newly rebuilt Sagebrush Ranch, was voted as BOY that year.
Nikita @ Kitty's was COY for CWMC4 and her house, Kitty's Pussycat Lounge, was BOY that year as well. There was no uproar that year either as Nikita had a very large following of regular customers and Kitty's was known for being the little house that provided the best bang for your buck, with it's well respected general manager, Jan providing a great environment for the customers to party as well as for her ladies to live. I think from reading the archives and I may be wrong, these were the previous winners of CWMC's BOY and COY awards. The awards were dominated by the Carson City houses, even when the legendary Mustang Ranch was still open.
CWMC1 - I'm not sure there were any awards from reading the reports of the meeting. The Asbestos Moth's Cyberwhoremonger Club Meeting Report and Flyfisher's Cyberwhoremonger Club Meeting Report
I admit, I'm not real sure of the following so please correct me if I don't have it right:
CWMC2 COY - Katherine Leigh @ Sagebrush Ranch BOY - Sagebrush Ranch
CWMC3 COY - CindySpice @ Sagebrush Ranch BOY - Sagebrush Ranch
CWMC4 COY - Nikita @ Kitty's BOY - Kitty's Pussycat Lounge
CWMC5 COY - Nikita @ Kitty's / Adele @ Sagebrush / Shannon @ Sagebrush BOY - Sagebrush Ranch
The awards were originally awarded by Webmaster of the no longer running GPPays website, last year, I believe but am not sure, it was co-sponsored by members of, Courtesan Review Message Board and the C.W. Monger's Message Board. This website, nvbrothels.com, was not directly involved in sponsoring, organizing or co-hosting, the CWMC6 Awards. Messages and links were posted by the organizers of CWMC6 on this message board to inform and invite the viewers of this website to vote for the CWMC6 Awards.
I don't know how it would demean the sponsors or the voters. Even in many local and national political elections where there are rules, there have been controversies as to the integrity of the electoral process; hanging chad, dimples and butterfly ballots, voters on the voter rolls who show up as deceased, yet still voted, voters who've voted many times, etc..
As for all of CWMC6's award winners, it's a done deal and they should be congratulated and the sponsors and organizers of CWMC7 will learn from the experience and make any necesssary changes for next years voting.

The only thing I have ever been concerned about with these awards is "stuffing" the ballot box especially for the COY award. Somehow, either the nomination or voting process needs to be controlled. I remember years ago, the All Star Baseball ballot was done in such a way that one team ended up with a large number of players on the team. I believe a local radio station in the city with all the players somehow got huge numbers of votes from that community. Subsequently they changed the rules and control at least a part of the process.
Perhaps maybe the nomination process should be open but someone review the nominations and pick the top four or five for a final vote rather then doing it through some ballot process. Maybe the nomination process should be more then I nominate Lady Bear as Courtesan of the year. Maybe we should require a reason why she should be courtesan of the year.
As far as the cost of the awards, I would think we could easily get PMG or one of the other houses, on an alternating basis pick up the tab. I haven't been to the awards in a few years but the ones I saw probably cost less then $500. And whoever pays, can be the sponser. We could allow the sponser to bring a banner to the banquest that states they are the sponser. If that isn't acceptabe just put a surcharge on the banquet of $5 to $6 a head.

Note from Admin:
1. Their were 2 more pages of responses to this thread unfortunately I do not have those. Or! if I have them I haven't been able to find where they are located. If I find them I will add them to this thread.
2. I have read several times that the COY had a lot to do with how much and how well some of the ladies posted. I believe in some cases that was probably true. It's no secret that I was a Nikita fan (the 1st 2 time winner) I have known Nikita since CWMC 3. We were good friends. I posted her schedule and promoted her on several boards. In the 14 years that Nikita and and I were close she only made 3 post. Those were just thank you post after she won the Awards. Although I believe that board presence is important and can be very helpful in winning COY. In Nikita's case she won for several reasons, but her posting on the boards wasn't one of them.

PS. Actually it can be more than one and it has been before. 1 year we had a 3 way tie. The winners were Adel, shannon and Nikita. I don't remember a lot of public discourse, I do know that their was some off board and private discussion about how they came up with a 3 way tie. I think this was at CWMC 5.( I think ) LPIN Awards page
PSS: Is BL a clips board only board. I thought it was about LPIN. I can see a few clips once in awhile. but lately all the new post are dominated by clips.

BROTHEL AWARDS RELOADED
AQuietMan Member Brothel Noob « Reply #36 on: Today at 12:43:45 PM » Posts: 5This should have already been mentioned, but I felt the need to point this out.
While LPINAwards.com is probably the longest running yearly awards for LPIN, there have been others that have given out awards as well. I seem to remember the Jagged awards being mentioned a few times in past years, and from what I read in the past on some forum he even presented those at the yearly banquet.
In addition to the other awards being offered of course!
So, if you think you have a good idea on how to do this, and don't mind making the time and other commitments to make it so, well don't be scared! The ladies will probably love you for it! The peanut gallery may even come around eventually.
More awards good!
I usually like to just lurk around here, and eat popcorn while reading the posts for entertainment, and checking out the pics of the sexy courtesans who post here. But since this is an obvious option for the yearly brothel awards cycle, so I thought that it should be mentioned. And there's still time if you want to share them during the yearly gathering this Summer!
'Nuff said. Carry on!

Note from Admin: I did find some more information that relates to this original thread. I also want to let everyone know that Ladyblue is me Pat. It was one of the many handles I used on the BOB board
Deleted AB post on CWMC (Read 1026 times)
Ladyblue Senior Member ****Posts: 345 Reply #30 - 01/31/07 at 09:56:30 It did get pulled off. This whole thread was deleted. What boards did you get Banned from? WHY? AB's issues will have nothing to do with whether your vote counts or not. If you have 10 or more post on NBT your vote will count. Most likely if you have 10 or more post with 1 or more handles those votes will also count. If you have different handles all with 10 post on different boards those will probably also count.
