CWMC 7..Now and Then
I made it home after a drive from hell!.I wont go into the details but a 10 hr trip turned into 14 hrs. I think God was punishing me for having too much fun at CWMC 7.
This will be my final report on CWMC 7..Maybe!..It isn't so much a report but a variety of questions and thoughts I have after this past 4 or 5 days.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had. I had some doughts on how it would go down this year. The interest on the boards seemed lower than in the past. It is impossible to compare or rate one CWMC against others. They are all so very different and have their own personality. I really did have a great time this year..
Here are some observations. The event is really getting to see alot more participation by the Brothels. This was the 1st year I found myself having to really dig for energy and do some serious time planning. I think this trend will continue. More and more special events to cram in 3 or 4 days. Their are 6 Brothels in the Reno/CC area. Most are now wanting to join in with a party, picnic or something. They do it for 2 reasons 1. to draw business towards their houses. 2. to let us know we are important to them and I believe a thank you to us from them. At the same time we have our own events..Morning meetings, Afternoon meetings, picnic, and Banquets. I see this becoming a challenge and more choices for us to make. The days of lazily going to all the events are gone. I wont comment on whether this is a good or bad thing. I don't know. I do think it will heat up competition between, the Brothels on who is going to do what and when, to get the maximum effect. We are going to have to skip one event to catch one we are more interested in. Events up against each other have to happen. The time is too short and the activities are too many.
I do have a few questions:
1. What events did you enjoy the best? My list goes like this.
1. Morning Coffee meetings.
2. A tie for all the Brothel activities
OBR BBQ WHR cocktail party Kittys & MlBR raffle parties
KitKat pool party
3. Banquet
4. Picnic
5 . Afternoon meetings
2. What houses did you party at and how many times? You can give the ladies name if you want or not.. was it a comp party or paid for?
I partied 1 time at Kitties with Diamond21. I paid for it.
3. What events do you think are a waste of time(not needed) I think the afternoon meetings are a waste. Too difficult to get to and interfere too much with getting rested and ready for other evening events.

How come the party is not #1 on the first list?

RE: CWMC..Now and Then
Another nice summary Pat. I didn't make any of the afternoons and probably would not in the future. If a change is made, I think one afternoon meeting on Wednesday would be the best adn most helpful. Hope you are enjoying your respite after the long drive home. Hobie1

RE: CWMC 7..Now and Then
Pat,
Events:
1. By the time the KKR BBQ rolled around I was finally beginning to recognize some of the faces and names. This was my favorite in terms of the spirit of CWMC. 2. All other house events run a close second. 3. I was sorry to have missed the fun at WH. 4. I would definitely want to attend the 'off-site' events next time.
Parties: Andrea at MLBR. Verrrrrrrry sweet! Paid.
Waste of time: I would tend to agree about the afternoon meetings being difficult to fit in.

CWM7 was undoubtedly a lot of fun to some people.
I chose not to participate for a number of reasons, not the least of which I believed it was so fractionalized and politicized as to detract from the purpose. Which was to get as many of the posters together in one place at one time as often as they liked before they went their merry, horny ways into sexual paradise!!
The idea of a barbecue at Old Bridge and the cocktail party at Wild Horse seemed attractive, because it was likely many posters would be at one or the other, depending on what time they arrived in Reno.
Then, chaos. The idea of free sex being available at the Moonlite — an event organized considerably AFTER the fact — had to make horny guys decide where they wanted to go. And yes, I did send my e-mail in to register, but after the brouhaha I had with some elements of the MLBR crowd in regards to Caressa Kisses, I didn't expect to get a reply. ((I did ...interestingly, it was sent to an e-mail address I do not use and did not arrive at that one until midday Thursday, when I was already in Reno, without access to a laptop...) Free sex drawings were at 6, 7, 8, and 9 at the MLBR, so internet guys had to decide to leave the BBQ and miss the cocktail party either partially or entirely. It is a long drive from Patrick to Red Rock...
Friday's banquet had no organized program, Anyone with an award made his or her presentations (except the one that really mattered and were really interesting — Speed Racer's Speedos — which I understand were conveniently forgotten). That no CWM awards were not presented is a gross oversight. Even the ill-fated Posse trip in Southern Nevada in May resulted in some awards being presented.
And to tell you the honest-to-God truth, I wouldn't have been at the banquet anyway. I fulfilled my objective Thursday — to be with Caressa Kisses at the Kit Kat — and I was back home in Southern Nevada as the banquet unfolded.
So, I really don't have any right to complain, but I sure do have the right to say the CWM has to avoid getting caught up in some of the internecine BS that goes on...

I double dare you! "Some people" = those who were there.
Ya, if you weren't there, you probably didn't enjoy it as much. Funny how that works.Huh? The only politics I saw was a discussion out by the Jacuzzi at the BBQ. Oh, and these guys kept talking about hockey. What a bunch of losers!
My real question is: What exactly was "the purpose" that was being detracted from?
I just thought the purpose was to have fun. I know I certainly did, even if my BP decided to take a major jump Friday night. What kind of program do you want? Heck, I got complaints that what little we did was too MUCH!
Anyone with an award made his or her presentations
It has been like that from the very first organized banquet at CWMC2.
Actually, if I had known what they were I would have at least announced the winners. But sadly, like you I was in Reno without a laptop, and I don't think they were posted until Friday.
That no CWM awards were not presented is a gross oversight.
COY was presented. The CWMC7 organizing/steering committee decided to leave the brothel awards to Arctic Bear, who has announced his intentions of doing them later this year.
One award and two tributes were presented that represented the CWMC community. Isn't that enough?
So, I really don't have any right to complain...
Finally a statement I can agree with.

Sportsman,
I shared many of the same concerns. However, I am pleased to report that the actual events did not show any significant signs of 'fractions' 'politicians' or post-industrial internecine nepotistic fraternalism. In other words, it was all pretty cool.
I wasn't a big fan of the awards as such, but when I saw how pleased girls were about getting awards either from the 'group' or from individuals I had to rethink my position. Now I see it kinda like a giant thank-you note, only better. So I'm all for it, just hope we can remember to keep it light and fun: that it's just SEX guys, not taxation without representation or nuclear war or any bull crap like that.

However, think of them as "works in progress", and maybe like fine wine, they'll improve with age (as you and I do?). Practice makes perfect sometimes. My impression, after reading all the posts about all the gatherings this year,is that a lot of people had a hell of a lot of fun, and I wish I could have been there for all of it. By the same token, I would probably have passed it all up in favor of an erotic encounter with Caressa, as you did. Well, no, I would have tried to cover both bases somehow. I'm greedy! :grin

Quote from sportsman Did Speedies awards matter because he bought the biggest trophies to present? The fanciest parchment? Or the most detailed and exciting speach? Who did Speedie ask to present the awards in his honor? Why didn't you present the awards for your friend Speedie if you thought they were so important?Personally I think you're over estimating the importance of these awards. In my opinion, the awards are of minor importance but mostly a cash drain to those who sponsor the awards. In theory I could show up at next years banquet, ala Champagne, with awards for every known Courtesan in attendance at the banquet (Champagne presented "John of the year awards" to every guy in attendance at the banquet one year). If any of us wants to show a lady that we feel she's special then maybe we should just go to the brothel she is working at and party with her.

As far as the brothel events conflicting. Of course they did, just like any vendor does at conventions I have been to all over the country. The customers then have to choose where they want to spend their time. The conflict was really between Wild Horse and Moonlite. Since I wanted to check out the other CC houses that night, I chose the Moonlite. Friday's banquet did have an organized program, and awards were given by those that let Curious know in advance. IB gave awards to Air Force Amy and Pat. Curious gave awards also. Bree for her hosting and contributions to CWMs. Tia for her work in saving the Mustang. And Chay for CWMC7 Courtesan of the Year
If Speed Racer had decided to attend and wanted to give out his awards, he could have. Just as AB did one year and Champagne another. Its really no different than the other banquets.
To be honest, I think this was one of the quietest years for conflict prior to the get together that I have seen. The flame awards prior to the earlier CWMs were classics.
Everyone has opportunities to go to the houses. And I think its great that the houses actually welcome us.
I am glad that you had a great time with Carissa. But her radio show needs help. I did listen to it when driving from the OBR to the Moonlite on Thursday, and it was so poorly read, it-was-obvious-that-they-were-reading-from-a-script. Maybe a rehearsal wouldn't make it sound so forced. And the betting recommendations for baseball were complete losers for Thursday and Friday.

You would be well qualified to speak to internecine that goes on. I fulfilled my obligation to party with the lady of my choice but even more important to fulfill my obligation of taking 3 or 4 days to have fun meet people and enjoy has many of the festivities as possible. One doesn't have to exclude the other. I think many guys had some great parties and also enjoyed themselves with the festivities. Some like OBR others liked Mlbr or WHR. Mostly it was a personal preference. I enjoyed every event I went to. I went to all but the MLBR. Some on here like to make it a us against them thing. I heard in many of the events either this person or owner or lady bad mouth that establishment. I also heard others praise every event. I try not to compare one against the other. I enjoyed all of them. All different with a particular twist. The Banquet wasn't about some organization thing. It was just one more opportunity for those that wanted too, to hang out in the setting to do so. Organization isn't necessary, to enjoy yourself. Speedo awards were fine worth no more or less than any of the other awards. I do not think their was a plot to keep them out. The lack of "official awards" was probably a benefit. They mostly cause more bickering than good. All awards that were presented were an individual award from one person to the next, with some discussions among friends before. They are nothing more than that. A nice friendly way for someone to say thank you or you done good to some one else in a public way. Some people may find fault with this. You seem to. Then others know how to enjoy the moment for what it is..

Thanks for the responses. They were quite informational. Now, if any of you are into some wild, organized (?) mayhem and fun, y'all ought to hit the road to Sheri's Ranch Saturday for its anniversary party...
It could be sort of a CWM Revisited...
