I made it!! I can't believe I'm the only one that's gotten better looking over the last year. It was a good turn out at Rockys. Mostly all guys from GPs board. I was hoping to meet some of the guys I haven't met before from NVBrothels. Their were about 10 guys and 2 ladies, not counting that great waitress TIA. Motherhood has treated her well. The ladies were Susan and Carole from Wildhorse.
I think I like this new location better than the Brews Brothers. It seemed more casual and a nice lay out. I decided at the last minute to hop on a plane to come to my 6th CWM meeting. So far I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the gathering this afternoon.
I need to find a better place for this Laptop. The only place i have for a hook up is on the bed. The laptop bounces every time i hit a key. This sucks! I'll report more later when I get something figured out.
Nice meeting everyone on day 1. Bashful, Curious, Fish, Bill, BorderBandit Fairagon(SP), IB, Elliott, Sbeav, Nutty Proffesor, Caroline, Susan, Goeco,
Carla/Tia and anybody else I might of left out.

The rest of the day
Posted by Pat on Monday, July 22, 2002, 8:31:54 AM
After leaving Rockys I went to the room and rested, before heading out to Carson City. My 1st stop in CC was the Sagebrush. I rang the buzzer and was let in to a line up of approximently 10 ladies. The lighting was dark so they all looked like a blurl to me. I asked to just sit at the bar and have a drink. Lady Bear recognized me and met me on the way to give me a hug. We sat and talked she is really a sweet lady. She was aware of my taste in women and would introduce me to some she thought I might be interested in. I was more on a shopping mission than a buying mission so I made some mental notes. I stayed their about a half hour. Lady bear kept me company. Thank you Lady Bear for being such a friendly face last night.
I moved on to Kit Kat from there. They had about 5 ladies in the line up. Sorry but none of them were anything I was interested in. A lady by the name of Karin came over to hussle me. She came over and her booze breath about knocked me off the chair. She grabbed my balls and asked if I wanted a tour. I said thanks for asking but I'm not interested. Then she went into plan "B" .OK! can you give me $5.00 for some cigarettes then? I gave it to her in hopes she would go away. She did. While at Kit Kat I did see one lady come out for a brief moment. I learned her name was Mia, but she was busy. She looked like a potential prospect. I finished my drink and moved on to my main objective of the night. Kitties Party.
Kitties was a mad house when I got there. Butt to Butt people everywhere. I ran into a lot of folks I knew, and met a few new people. Dennis Hof and is Groupies came in a few minutes later. It looked like he brought the Moonlite with him. A row of sexy ladies walked pass me introducing themselves and handing out business cards. They had food, they had prizes, and they had "Passion" Passion is a lady that works at Kitties. I was really smitten by her. Cute short tiny body. My type of lady. I didn't take a tour with her and I wish I had. I'm hoping to get back out there tonight and check her out a little closer.
I thought the Kitties thing was fun. I enjoyed the whole day and evening. That's my story for now.

I think this was my answer to AB after he had posted something about CWMC 6. He was playing boss man for the CWMC 6 banquet and other CWMC events. This discussion happened on the week after CWMC 6. That is why I have included it in my CWMC 6 thread
Pats response:
I semi qualify here. I have been around about as long as anyone, but have never really been a true to heart CWM-er. More like a professional CWM-er poster.
1st off let me say I disagree with most of what you just said. I will try and explain why. Pats response:The word "seriously" bothers me here. I think they know we can help or hurt them to some degree. They will pander to us if it isn't too much of an inconvenience. Yea! they will show up at our conventions, pass out their goodies and get some relatively good advertising out of it. I still don't buy the notion that we are a big part of their over all profit margin.Pats response: That one I have NO argument with.
Pats response: WHY? I really don't see anything wrong with making the rules up from year to year as times change. How can we make rules at this stage when we don't know who is going to give awards next year. Why can't who ever wants to give out awards make up their rules when they jump into the fire. I can see next year one of 2 ways. NO awards. OR several different people giving out their own awards as they see fit. They should not have to follow the rules made by a committee. Some times a mouse can be just as effective as the Elephant. We can have the COY of GP posters, The NVBrothel lady of the year. or any other scenario is possible. Who knows maybe we will have another famous Vegas Ken Courtesan of the year award. Will the Sweetheart of the year award be as prestigious as the Gal of the year award. This will make for some interesting posting after the next CWMC.Pats response: I'm raising my hand high and proudly here. just because someone decides that they want to be the head dog on awards or organization doesn't mean that they are immune from criticism if the followers(ME) think their show sucked. What's really interesting is that sometimes the organizer that bitched about the criticism the year before is the follower the next year doing the criticizing.
Pats response: I was sitting on my hands watching. In every organization their are the leaders and the follower. Both have a role. The followers would have No one to follow without the leaders. But what good would it do to be a leader if we didn't have followers. All leaders makes for a ugly scene.
I think their are a variety of degrees of CWM-ers. Those that love being one to death, and those that look at it as hey this is fun, but I'll enjoy it for what it's worth. I don't need the problems of being the top dog.
The leaders don't like it when we followers bitch about the out comes. I can understand that. Let's not forget they chose the roles and knew that it's not all fun and games. They also have a lot of reward that goes along with the criticism. Probably more people say, thank you. Than say. Boy! did you do a lousy job. I think those that do take the lead do it for more than just because they are great guys. They do it because they enjoy the role. If they aren't getting some pleasure or satisfaction out of it, they shouldn't be doing it. To them these CWMC events are important. Extra work to make it happen is worth it to them.
being a follower wont get you a lot of compliments and you wont have to be criticized. It does makes it easier to enjoy the event. Does that mean we are less important. Probably! but we don't care about the recognition both good or bad. We just want to have some fun. Back to my degree of CWM-ers.WE can take it or leave it. If someone wants to take the lead and do the work, we'll play. If No leaders are available to make it happen, OK! well continue on with our everyday lives. No biggie.

CWMC6 votes More discussions on CWMC 6
Posted by Pat on Friday, July 26, 2002, 11:51:58 PMThis is more discussion/arguments on CWMC 6 between AB and myself
I disagree. From what i have seen they aren't any more important today than they were 3 or 4 yrs ago. YEA! Some Russian web site took note of them. Big deal. I just haven't seen anymore hoopla over the awards this year than i have in the past. Maybe even less. Dennis made a big deal about Nikita and Dusty winning the year they both won. The winners this year have some bragging rights, but i haven't seen anyone trying to use this for an edge. Mostly the winners have all been gracious and thankful.
Campaigning as always been an issue with the awards. Nothing different about it this year. I believe the sweep by the South had more to do with the involvement of NVBothel board than any campaigning. This year the voting was more than just the dominantly northern GP/IB posters. The NVBrothel board has a big Southern following. They also have I think a bigger variety of posters than the GP crowd.
I'm not sure what you mean by "THIS COMMUNITY". I do think the voting represented the majority feeling of a combination of all the boards. Especially in the house votes. Most everyone I talked to before the voting results picked Southern houses to win. The COY was won by the lady that wanted to win and worked at it. Nothing wrong with that or really any different than some of the past years.
I think your making too big a deal out of the whole thing. No matter what rules you make someone is going to be pissed at the out come. I personally don't see a whole lot of bitching about any of the results. Sure a few cry babies, but a very small number overall. I say let whoever wants to have a contest or awards have them. Let them make whatever rules they want. This doesn't require a committee or the FBI to over see the counting. Just let it happen.
Let's not make ourselves out to be more than we are. We are a very small percentage of Brothel goers. The highest voting category got 147 votes. This isn't exactly going to shake up the Brothel industry. Therefore their is NO reason for me to answer the rest of your questions. I did think they were good questions but the need for them is not necessary.

CWMC 6 AB's Banquet
www.sex-in-nevada.com/MB/ARCHIVES/SIN_0006/messages/1823.htmlPosted by ArcticBear on July 27, 2002 at 16:54:26 In Reply to: Re: About the banquet ... posted by Interested bystander on July 27, 2002 at 16:16:01 Where do you get the idea it was a private event this year or any year in the past. Anyone that wanted too could buy a ticket. There were no gate crashers. Why the paranoia? The Peppermill is a big place, hell one of the big complaints has been having trouble finding the room.
And IB, I believe we had this conversation in reverse in years past. When you said the picnic shouldn't be announced when I hosted it, while you were telling everyone about the banquet online. What gives here. The muffin meetings, the afternoon beer fests, all are announced and the address is given. So explain to me what the difference is if you don't mind.
Honestly, you guys act like we're the most important thing in the world and like the FBI is monitoring our every move.
Although I do think this years bartender bore a striking resemblance to last years, and we all know he was a US Marshal.

More Awards discussions
Posted by arcticbear Saturday, July 27, 2002, 3:10:00 PM www.sex-in-nevada.com/MB/messages/1654.htmlIt has become clear that the CWMC awards have gained stature and more meaning (to the rest of the world) over the years. What started as just something fun to do now may have become a responsibility we need to look at in a more serious light.
As more people, including people in the industry, become aware of the awards and put more importance on them, we need to do the same.
Some of the ideas I present here will not be popular. Heck, some of it I don't agree with myself. But I think they are issues that need to be brought out and discussed. So, I am sorry in advance for all those I piss off! And I urge all of you to add your ideas, concerns, and comments. Just please keep it friendly!
This past group of awards saw some major campaigning - resulting in a sweep by the South. Personally I do not believe that the results truly represented the majority feelings of THIS COMMUNITY.
Please note that I have nothing personally against any of the award recipients. I have long been a champion of the Southern ranches. My first Nevada brothel experience was at the Chicken Ranch. For years, until I attended CWMC2 in fact, all my LPIN experience was in the Southern houses. None of this is anything against the award winners, it is just that I think it is time we formalize the process of how we determine the winners, and make at least the "rules" public.
The industry has entered a brave new world, and it is only natural that businesses exploit whatever options exist. Look at how the houses' use and perception of the Internet has changed in just the last couple of years. Only a few years ago the girls who worked at the CR were told NOT to set up their own personal web site, and to never communicate via email with a client or potential customer! Now they have a web site of their own, complete with pictures! Amazing! I understand Sheri's has a computer room for the girls to use! Amazing! They also have a professional working to promote the house on the Net. Amazing! I could go on and on.
The bottom line is that "our" awards, which started as almost a lark by one person a few years ago, have become awards that people want. Probably because "we" are the only client based group, as well as the only group giving such awards. So I think it is time we stepped up to the plate and took the responsibility seriously.
What I list here are topics I think we need to discuss. Some of these are my ideas, some are other peoples ideas. Some are items just to make you think, some are (IMHO) serious issues we need to resolve. I do NOT have all the answers. But I feel that AS A COMMUNITY we need to find the answers.
And no, it has nothing to do with "how long, what activities, and how much".
I'll start with a biggie:
1 - Who can vote?
This is, in my mind, one of the most difficult questions, but clearly we need some controls on who can vote. Obviously we need to limit it to one vote per person. But we need to go beyond that. Is it fair if I get all 100 members of my bowling group to vote for someone they have never even heard of?
- How about if voting is limited to only those persons who have posted on one of the major boards in the past year?
- If the person is a lurker, they must have either attended a CWMC event, or be personally known by someone who has attended?
- Each person must either be known, or post from a "real" email address (not Hotmail or Yahoo, for example).
This leads to the second item, of even greater importance (but less controversial, I suspect):
2 - All rules about the voting MUST be established and published prior to the commencement of the nominating process.
Additional rules
Here, in no particular order, are ideas for some of the other "rules" for your consideration:
3 - Nominations are open to anyone, top five in each category go to the final voting. If necessary run off's will be held to select the top five.
That leads to number 4:
4 - What are the categories for the awards? Should we keep the same 4 as we had this year? Maybe add another award for best new courtesan of the year?
5 - The awards should not be "tied" to a particular web site, nor to the host of the banquet.
6 - Publish the number of votes each finalist gets.
7 - Rules against stuffing the ballot box. Unethical activities or attempts to (unfairly?) influence the outcome leads to disqualification.
8 - When someone votes, the ballot is immediately emailed to all members of the voting committee staff.
When you post in response to these ideas, PLEASE include the item numbers I have used here, if possible.
And TIA for your input ...

My CWMC 6 Experience Posted by Pat Sunday, July 21, 2002, 4:20:00 PM
First off let me say Thank You to all that helped make this a fun trip for me. That includes all that helped make the events possible and all the guys and ladies who attended. I had a great time. I had not planned on going at all this year..To be perfectly honest I thought it might be a flop this year. I am glad I was wrong about that.
I have been to all 6 CWMC events. They have all been different and special in their own way. Some were fun but also had their share of turmoil and drama. In most of them I went with someone. This year I was on my own. Being shy and not very good in social settings I worried about this before leaving. It was wasted worry. I went to most of the main events and felt very comfortable thanks to the friendlyness of all that were there.
Here are a few of my thought on the individual events.
The Rocky meetings
I attended 2 of them. At both of them I got to see some old friends and meet some new posters I liked the setting at Rockys. Good food, casual laid back atmosphere. I give a lot of credit to Tia/Carla for making them so enjoyable. She was an excellent hostess/waitress and made every one feel welcomed and comfortable.
The Banquet
I got their at 6 PM, the beginning of the cocktail hour. Their was a nice open room where everyone could mingle and renew old acquaintances and meet some new folks. The dinning area and bar were upstairs. After about an hour or so everyone moved upstairs to the dinning area. The room was big enough to be comfortable but still small so everyone could see and hear everything that was going on. The food was, well their was food there. I'm a very picky eater. I did not find much that matched my taste buds. I did take advantage of the dessert table. I'm sure that those with normal taste found it very good.
Everyone found their way to the food line and got caught up on general conversation while eating. Then AB made a general annoucement on picture taking and the door prices and awards started. The biggest winner of the night was Duckman. He got a $4000.00 certificate for a party at the Bungalos at Sherys Ranch. Several people got certificates from The Chicken Ranch. Donna's, ShadyLady, Sagebrush, and Sues also had gifts. Their were other gifts but too many for me to remember them all. I got a Sagebrush hat, a mug, goody bags from Sherries, Chicken ranch and Donna's...
The one thing I noticed about this year that was different from the past Banquets was that there were less working ladies present. It also seemed to me that about half the crowd were representatives from all the various houses. The theme seemed more commercialized than in the past. Having been to all the past Banquets the one thing that seems to be consistent is that they are all different. It as come a long way from the gathering of 12 guys meeting in Reno and just deciding on the spur of the moment to go to dinner together. Don't get me wrong I don't say this to be critical. I enjoyed the evening and thought LB and AB did a good job of putting it all together.
The Picnic
I got there early and was greeted with a hug from Bree. Her place is very nice. guys started drifting in and everybody was just hanging out in the back yard. It felt very much like a big family gathering minus the little kids. There were hot dogs, hamburgers, and a good selection of food. The highlight for me was when i was getting ready to leave. I had to leave early to catch my plane. I asked Bree where the donation jar was. She pulled her bikini bottoms open and i deposited my contribution into the box. From their she moved through the crowd taking contributions. I want to thank Bree and Cowboy for their time and efforts. It was a real nice way to end my CWMC6 stay.
Again Thanks to all for making this a great experience for me.

Since there seems to be so much interest in how the awards were given out, I thought I'd just take a sec and give you guys the breakdown in each category. I think you'll see that this was pretty much a run away in each category. Also, no anonymous voters were accepted. If this wasn't a person known in the community it had to come from a legitimate ISP. The voter participation was heavy to say the least. So here you are. ------------------------------------------------------------- Most Improved Nevada Brothel Total Votes 114 Sheris 50% Sagebrush 24% Donnas Battle Mt 11% Moonlight 8% Kittys 7% -------------------------------------------------------------- Brothel of the Year Total Votes 143 Chicken Ranch 57% Sheris 17% Sagebrush 16% Kittys 10% --------------------------------------------------------------- Small Brothel Total Votes 78 Shady Lady 50% Angels Ladies 24% Donna's Wells 13% Sues 8% Playmate 5% -------------------------------------------------------------- Courtesan Total Votes 147 Summer 59% Jennifer 10% Ddusty 10% Desiree 8% LadyBear 7% Brooke 3% Jeannie Rivers 3% Nikita 1%
